Flag status information as well as lighting down and lighting up times are obtained from Cambridge University Combined Boat Clubs (CUCBC). More safety information is available on their flag site.
Historical bumps data have been independently collected and verified from a number of sources, including CUCBC, First and Third Trinity Boat Club, the Cambridge Union Society, Wikipedia, and individual members of the Cambridge rowing community.
Live bumps data are provided by CamFM.
Weather observations and forecast data are supplied by the Met Office. This information is covered by British Crown Copyright (c) 2013, the Met Office. Observations are from Bedford, the closest reporting point to Cambridge. Forecasts are for Cambridge.
Forecast sunrise and sunset times are calculated for Riverside Bridge. As exact sunrise and sunset times depend on unpredictable atmospheric conditions, other algorithms may give times that differ slightly.
River levels and Lock details displayed on the "EA Cam Information" page are provided by the Environment Agency. This information is Copyright (c) 2013, the Environment Agency. It may also be protected by database right.
Weather icons are used under license from Icons-Land.
CamBump strives to provide up-to-date and accurate information on weather, sun times, flag status, river rules, bumps charts, and live bumps results. Despite this, unforeseen circumstances could cause inaccurate or incomplete information to be presented. CamBump is only a supplement to the safety assessment performed by a captain, cox, coach, and crew.
You accept all risk and responsibility for losses, damages, costs and other consequences resulting directly or indirectly from the use of this app.
It is important to note that the flag status must be taken as only a part of the cox, crew, and coach’s risk assessment before each outing. The flag does not mean it is necessarily safe for those unrestricted, but rather it is deemed necessarily unsafe for those restricted.
Over the vacation period when the flag is not being updated, it will appear grey and all stream condition queries should be directed towards the EA.
